Card Drive hits Cootamundra!
Thanks to the Maddy & Co Volunteers and the The Coota District Co-Op for this exciting Partnership!
Why toys and gift cards do you ask?
Toys are fun! And Gift Cards give choice!
With technology, recharging mobile devices, new apps and having “choice” in hospital, can be the ONLY joy a child may have while undergoing treatment. It saves Parents already doing it tough an opportunity to say YES 
to that new app, or that new gadget or toy their child has been begging for. 
Mightily Maddy every Christmas
time (and every other day in between) would always exude kindness and shared her “love of giving to others”.
Every year Maddy would go to the Children’s Westmead Hospital and handout toys to all the little kids and families to share happiness! Their smiles lit up the room 
. One year there were 8 truck loads! That’s right when Maddy touched something it turned magical and reached many 
This provided something else for children to think about. Even just for 10 mins. Maddy always followed up with a hug and made other children feel special
Maddy’s kindness was something special to see.
For this reason we are expanding “Mighty Maddy’s Toy and Gift Card” Drive from Sydney to Cootamundra.
Maddy & Co in Haberfield in Sydney are continuing this legacy and thanks to many people involved it’s now coming to Cootamundra!
Maddy & Co in Partnership with the Cootamundra District Co-Op are bringing some cheer, happiness and joy to those in need.
From now until the 15th of December Maddy & Co Volunteers & Coota Santa’s helpers will be collecting Toys and Gift Cards to provide to the local Coota Community, Families and children in Hospital.
We will also be providing some Christmas Lunch/Dinner Hampers to some Cootamundra families or Individuals in need. Individual locals from Coota and Families can be nominated by others or by themselves ensuring complete privacy at all times.
(All names will be kept private or please don’t list on the nomination form)
We would love for the Cootamundra Community and Business to jump on board and spread the word!
Do you have spares toys not used?
Are you a local business or charity that wants to help? Doesn’t matter the gift, Parents need to feel special to.
Did you purchase something that you now no longer need or want?
Can you afford to purchase a small gift when shopping for Christmas? Even a bouncy ball is alot of fun! A little board game or a Teddy to hug
Have you got a spare couple of dollars for a gift card? This means kids have choice (examples attached)
Could you place the poster in your business or shop windows?
If you already sell toys can you share the pamphlet or explain when people are purchasing in store?
Are you a school, business or charity that has Social Media, a newsletter or local community connections? If yes could this information be added to share across the Coota Community?
Are you a Business or Charity that can donate a gift card?
All toys and gift cards donated go straight back to the Cootamundra Community and the local hospital for distribution

Drop off location: Under the Christmas Tree at Coota District Co-op.

Allocation: Place the age range of the child or adult and what gender appropriateness on the toy/gift card for allocation if wrapped or put in an envelope.
Drop of Times: Open 7 days a week!
Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5pm. Saturday 9.00am to 12.00pm and
Sunday 10.00am – 12.00pm

Any gift of gift card big or small will go along way. More than you realise…

We at Maddy and Co are a Commercial Fit for Purpose Community and Business Support Centre. We receive no funding or allocated Charity funds. Our Charity (Wish) is allocated to other Charities in need. So know we don’t line our pockets!
Your probably asking why did Maddy & Co select Cootamundra?
In September a “group” of dedicated Fundraisers and Volunteers headed up by Tammy Thompson from Cootamundra (specifically staff at Woolworths) dedicated the entire month raising awareness and funds for Brain Cancer and DIPG a form of Brain Cancer Maddy sadly passed of 6 months ago.
“The Shopping Grab” prize was sensational to see as Bradon ran to fill the local Foodbank which made such a difference.
But…….. What was so amazing to see were members from the Cootamundra Community permanently tattooing themselves with Maddy’s partner in crime “Tina” This bought so much happiness to the family.
Tina was drawn by Maddy herself. You can see Tina is hugging a heart 
This is now Maddy & Co’s logo as everything we do has a touch of Maddy
Let’s all join together with a goal to help those most in need by spreading some positivity, empathy and let’s ALL be as generous as we possibly can
Alone we are ONE but together we are a force to be reckoned with!
