A group of volunteers in Cootamundra delivered 58 Christmas Hampers and toys to families in the community who were in need this year. Right to people’s doors. Many families were nominated by someone else too. So it was a immense surprise to many families at this time of year.
There were many tears, tears of joy and tears while telling their stories.
The Volunteers sat and listened with a big heart. They carried the weight and made people feel special. Then they ran back to the Pavillion to help others.
They also managed to deliver toys to Cootamundra Hospital and Wagga Wagga base hospital have some toys to provide children, if they end up in the Emergency Department on Christmas Day.
On behalf of Coota Santa’s Helpers and Maddy & Co volunteers in Coota, would love to thank you all for your outstanding support, donations in our 1st Xmas hampers and gifts drive.
Without your help, the support of our partners Cootamundra Ex-Servicemen’s & Citizens Memorial Club , The Coota District Co-Op, @Coota Crafty Super Ladies, Milestones Early Learning Cootamundra, MJ Fashion Coota, CGRC and Wayne Eschbank, we wouldn’t have been able to exceed 50 deliveries this Xmas.
We hope our community has benefited from the joy, merriment and magic of random acts of kindness.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
Thank you Coota from Tammy, Helen, Bradon, Prue and the fundraising team. @GracieWalsh, Tegan Roberts, Kim O’Neill, Lyn Murer, Andrew Roberts
