On Tuesday 28 October 2025, our team had the privilege of attending the Head to the Hill 2025 event organised by BTAA (Brain Tumours Alliance Australia) in Parliament House courtyard. A number of brain cancer organisations, families affected by brain cancer, advocates and patients living with brain cancer attended.
It is the third year of this event, for an event to raise awareness of the horrific and unimproved life expectancy from brain tumours and communicate the devastating financial, social, physical, cognitive and emotional impact on patients, families, carers and society as a whole.
Maddy’s shoes were on display, along with 3,200 other pairs of shoes. Each pair belonged to a real person, and the stories were not only emotional and powerful, it was intended to send a clear message to the Members of Parliament that change was needed.
We’d like to thank everyone who attended, all the Partners that collaborated, and all the volunteers who helped on the day. Showing up does matter, as we had a united voice to the Government. More funding is required to fund research to find cures and improve the lives of people living with brain cancer.
