It was a privilege to attend the Heel to Heal 2024 at Aerial Function Centre, Ultimo on 15 November held by RunDIPG (www.rundipg.org). The event was to raise much needed funds for fund a cure for DMG/DIPG childhood brain cancer.
When Dr Evie Jackson got up and told her personal stories and explained how far other cancer treatments (such as breast cancer and leukemia) has progressed, it made everyone in the room realise how little funding is put into DIPG/DMG research to find a cure. It really is one of the most complex diseases.
